Getting to know Jamie Nunnally…
- What is your name, and do you have a nickname?
I’m often referred to as “The Plaid Pastor” but you can call me Jamie. - What is your current job title at VFC and do you have any other jobs you’d like to share about?
I’m the Lead Pastor of VFC. Before this, I worked in the corporate world. I’ve been a radio DJ, bank teller, shoe salesman, and recording artist. - Where were you born and where have you lived?
I was born and raised right here in God’s country, Thomasville GA. - Are you married and do you have any children / family?
I am married to my best friend, Tiffany, and we have three incredible adult children – Ethan, Eva, and Isaac, and one daughter-in-love Mikayla. - When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was a kid, I wanted to travel the world as a rock star. - Aside from ministry, do you have a preferred hobby(s)?
I love playing music, watching college football (Roll Tide!), and traveling. - Would you like to share anything about your professional career, education or current endeavors?
I’ve released two albums of original worship music that you can find on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. - What is your favorite thing(s) about VFC?
I love how fun our services at VFC can be. Our people are all unique, but we love God, love others, and love His presence! - What is your favorite candy, ice cream, or treat?
I’m a big fan of ice cream – any kind and flavor. I also love belly jeans, sour patch kids and peanut M&Ms. I might have a problem… - What is your favorite bible verse or book of the bible and why?
I love the simple gospel of Jesus that’s found in the New Testament. Romans and Galatians are my favorite books for theology, John is my favorite gospel, and James is my favorite book to remind me to get it together! - What would your last words be?
I’ve got a bad feeling about this… - Anything else?
Anything else? Nah. I’m just a pale, pudgy, plaid pastor trying to tell people about Jesus. Ooh, look – ice cream!
