ABOUT VFC’S FOOD PANTRY

Our Food pantry began in 2008 with only two shelves in our kitchen stocked by the contributions from church members. We have since expanded the Food Pantry into its own building, have obtained freezers for meats and frozen foods, and fill large shelves from top to bottom every week. We partner with Second Harvest of Thomasville (www.feedingsga.org) in order to purchase food at a greatly reduced rate. Books and teaching CD’s are also given out on a regular basis to those visiting the Food Pantry. Since 2016, VFC has given over 17600, resulting in over 44,000 meals!

Our food pantry serves anyone in the community of Thomasville and Thomas County, GA.

MANNA DROP

In addition to the weekly food pantry, we also have the capability of hosting a Manna Drop. A Manna Drop is when a large truck from Second Harvest comes and drops off enough food to feed approximately 600 people (200 families) at one time. Recipients drive through our line and are hand-delivered large bags of food. Manna Drops are done as donations permit.

We Need Your Help
Contributions from the community are greatly appreciated! Each Manna Drop costs $500 and regular stocking of our pantry requires consistent giving to sustain. To make a tax-deductible contribution to be used for the Food Pantry, please click below.
